Dean's Diner: On the A1039 between Muston and Folkton, near Scarborough. Gary from Chesterfield emailed me with our very first horror! He went with his family in to what seemed like a pleasant place and asked for an egg/ bacon, a sausage, and a bacon roll. On receiving it, he asked if the bacon could be cooked a little longer, "That's the best you are going to get it!" came the disgruntled reply! The bacon was very fatty, and it cost just over £6 in all. Gary threw it in the bin in disgust, and on the way out, told him about this website, and the person said they couldn't care less! So folks, give this one a wide birth! Dean's Diner, you have been Named and Shamed, and if someone knows this place, please point out that the customer is always right! (Dean's Diner has the right to respond....if he cares!...The Webmaster)

Route 46: Another bad taste left in the mouth for our Sweatshirt winner (David) He was in the Route 46 cafe the other day, and was absolutely disgusted in what went off! There were 3 complaints in the time David was in there, 2 left and one was ejected by the owner! Another driver came in took one look, and walked out again! What topped it all off, was the owner went and led her dog into the kitchen! NICE!
Of course people are entitled to a bad day now and again, so if anybody has had a good experience in there, we will be only too glad to mention this! Otherwise...ROUTE
46, you have been named & shamed!

Julie's Cafe, Ripley:  Thanks to Ellen for letting us know about Julie's Cafe in Ripley, Derbyshire. By all accounts, this place is dire, and you are warned to stay away!  I don't know much more except that it is really poor quality, service and cleanliness. Ellen has recommended that we don't go and try it for ourselves, but if you have been, let us know what you think.
