Welcome to MCT Services. We are a friendly, family run business with over 22 years experience in Motorcycle Training. Stuart Keen, our Chief Instructor and Director, is Police Trained, and was one of the first Instructors to do the CBT from its inception way back in December 1990! From there, MCT Services has grown in strength and reputation, and our students travel large distances to train in the awesome countryside of Chesterfield, Derbyshire with us.

COMPULSORY BASIC TRAINING The first step towards a full motorcycle licence is the CBT. This is NOT a test, but merely a course of training to ensure a person is confident to ride in a safe and competent manner, with the ability to identify everyday hazards on the public roads. There is no time limit on the CBT, a person with average ability can complete the CBT in 5 - 6 hours. If the CBT is not completed on the day, then we do not charge for any further training, only a nominal fee for bike hire. Your certificate will last 2 years from the date of issue.	The off road session teaches the basics in a safe environment.
With MCT Services, the road session takes you to test standard and beyond!	ON ROAD SESSIONS After the CBT, the On Road sessions (2 Hour lessons) are what get you to test standard. ALL our on road sessions are carried out strictly 1 to 1! We pride ourselves in giving you the combination of value for money, with the expert tuition and road craft you need to take you not only through your test, but on for the rest of your motorcycling career. The average person only requires 2 -3 sessions to get up to the required standard.
125CC For those of you over 17, but under 21 years of age, this is the test you must take. For some people, the importance of riding a big bike straight away is not necessary, and opt to take the 125cc test. All this means is, you will be restricted to 33bhp for 2 years. Once that probationary period is over, you automatically come onto a full motorcycle license, without the need for a further test.	A student on a 125cc bike during the CBT
A student on one of our direct access bikes on a "U turn" exercise.	DIRECT ACCESS This is for 21 year olds and over, who wish to go straight to a large capacity motorcycle. Take your test on a machine with more than 46.6bhp, and once you have passed, you are unlimited in what you can ride.
THE TESTS You must complete a theory test before you can take a practical. The DSA set out the guide lines for the test, and they also set the practical and theory test fee. Remember, before we can offer you a practical, you must have completed your theory test. To book a theory test, call 08700101372, and upon answer, press **1. *We are flexible if you are on irregular shift patterns.*
